This site is a structured aggregation of official Council of Europe public records -- not original legal analysis, and not an AI-generated summary. Every figure traces back to a real judgment or execution decision you can read yourself.
The numbers, live
Sources
HUDOC -- the European Court of Human Rights' own case-law database. This site tracks judgments engaging Article 8 (right to respect for private and family life) and Article 6 (right to a fair trial) across all 46 Council of Europe member states, in both English and French where an official translation exists.
HUDOC-EXEC -- the Committee of Ministers' database tracking how each state actually implements a judgment once the Court has ruled: action plans, resolutions, and whether supervision of execution is open, enhanced, or closed. This is what powers the Docket.
Pipeline
Scrape -- an automated process queries HUDOC and HUDOC-EXEC weekly for new or updated records.
Structure -- each record's bibliographic and procedural data (application number, dates, articles engaged, violation findings, execution status) is extracted directly from the source's own structured fields -- not inferred or written by a model.
Review -- new records are held back from public view until reviewed. Because this data is official court/committee metadata rather than generated content, review combines whole-dataset consistency checks (date ranges, valid country/article codes, no orphaned links) with a sampled cross-check against the live HUDOC/HUDOC-EXEC record before publication.
Publish -- only reviewed, approved records appear anywhere on this site.
What this site does not yet do
No scored index yet. A "Do Better Index" ranking states against their own obligations is planned but not built -- nothing on this site currently scores or ranks a country's human-rights record.
Article 6/8 family-rights scope only. Broader monitoring sources (Venice Commission, GREVIO, CPT, national ombud reports) are collected separately and not yet integrated into individual case records.
Domestic case history isn't curated yet. Case timelines currently show what happened at Strasbourg and before the Committee of Ministers -- not the earlier domestic-court proceedings.
